Megan has a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management and a strong history of administration in arts and educational organisations. An active member of Ballarat’s arts scene, she is an artist with the Femxle Experience Art Rebellion and 13 Moons Collective, and has formerly served on the boards of Spark Theatre and Ballarat Writers.
The inaugural recipient of BAF’s Jack Anderson Award from Filmmaking, and a 2021 Mentoring Program participant, Megan’s is feeling out loud through her creative practice. Combining the personal and political, Megan leads by example in standing up, showing up and speaking up, sharing the messy, human experiences that often go unspoken. A powerful spoken word performer, Megan’s poetry fearlessly gives voice to the secret stories we tell ourselves. Her playwriting explores themes of identity, belonging, truth and power, highlighting issues of social justice and as a collaborateive theatrical director, Megan creates beautiful worlds of stylised realism.
